  • San Francisco flight 1 through 3-D imaging radar data
  • 2.5 Megabytes, mpeg-1 format

The video starts near San Rafael and heads towards San Francisco, roughly following the 101 freeway over a freeway bridge, past Sausalito to the Golden Gate Bridge. We then fly along the presidio area towards downtown SF, making a sharp turn towards Golden Gate Park. Flying over the 1 freeway, we head towards Pacifica, then veer off to the 280 freeway south towards San Jose. We fly down the Peninsula along the San Andres Fault passing San Andreas Lake and Crystal Springs Reservoir. As we pass Palo Alto, we see a linear feature in the video - this is the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC). We briefly head towards some hills before stopping in the Sunnyvale area.

This video starts around Sunnyvale and travels north to Marin county, approximately following the 101 freeway. We can see Stanford and Stanford Stadium as we fly parallel to the 101 and El Camino. We descend at the San Francisco Airport, and then ascend back to 1258 meters altitude. Past South San Francisco, we fly through downtown San Francisco (we can see a bit of the Bay Bridge) over Pier 39, Fishermans Warf, and then Alcatraz before turning towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Then, we fly north through Marin County.
