IMPORTANT: This bulletin board makes use of fill-out-forms, so you must have a browser that will support this feature.
The Bulletin Board is fairly self explanatory. If you want to submit a question, just click on the icon for submitting a question. You will then see a box to fill in your question. Below the box is a submit button: After you click on this button, the question will be posted to the bulletin board.
If you want to read responses to a question, then click on the number of responses at the end of the question. This will then bring up all the responses to that question. If you want to submit your own response just click on the icon for submitting a response, and, just as for submitting a question, you will see a box for writing text, and below that, a submit button to post the response.
With this bulletin board, you may format (if you like - it is not necessary ) your responses in html. If you want to put in an html link, feel free. Please be sure that it is formatted correctly and that the link works before you submit it, so that we don't have incorrect links. You can look at this beginners guide to html for more commands, but here are some basic html commands that you may want to incorporate in your questions and responses:
If you want to make a line break, simply end a line with < p >
If you are linking to a location on the imaging radar home page, be sure to start the link with a "/". For instance, a link to the bulletin board welcome page would read:
<a href = "/bboard/Welcome.html"> Bulletin Board Welcome Page </a> .
and would look like this : Here is a link to the Bulletin Board Welcome Page
If you want to put a link to an image on the imaging radar home page, or another location, you may phrase this within your question or response as :
<a href = "/pio/srl/sirc/srl-manaus2.gif"> Manaus Comparison </a> .and it would look like this :
If you want to put an in-line link to an image (keep in mind that the more in-line images, the longer it takes to load the questions. If you put in too many, we will delete them) on the imaging radar home page or another location, you may phrase this within your question or response as :
<img src = "/pio/srl/sirc/srl-manaus28.gif.html"> .and it would look like this :

Or, when looking at another site, you would state it as :
<img src = "http://sun1.cr.usgs.gov/landdaac/sir-c/sircsamp.html"> .
which would look like :
