PreSIR-C Images of Europe

The PreSIR-C site information and images were gathered during the pre-launch stage of the SIR-C missions. To view the different image formats:

*.PIC - On the PC, the PICT format images may be viewed with the Picture Viewer program which is included in the Quicktime Movie Player package. On the Macintosh, these images may be viewed with the NIH Image program.
*.STK - The Stokes Compressed format images may be viewed with the Sigma0 program.

PC Users, please note: Every PICT image file (*.pic) opened through Netscape will launch a new copy of the Picture Viewer program. This means there is potential to have multiple copies of Picture Viewer running. It is better to view the first PICT image file through Netscape (which launches Picture Viewer) and view any other PICT files while in Picture Viewer. The alternative is to completely exit out of the Picture Viewer after you have finished viewing a PICT image.
Making the PreSIR-C material available on this CD was done rather quickly. Please excuse the uneven organization.
