LightSAR Payload Technology Alliance


In March 1998, a LightSAR Payload Technology Alliance was formed to develop technologies that will enhance the performance and reduce the mass and cost of an advanced L-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Through this alliance, the best available technologies in government and industry are being developed and validated to provide early risk mitigation of critical flight instrument technologies. Alliance membership includes the four industry teams that performed the LightSAR Definition Studies in 1997 and a group of leading technology providers. Members and their areas of work include:
