Monitoring Earth with Spaceborne Radar

LightSAR is a proposed low-cost, Earth-orbiting imaging radar satellite. It will use advanced technologies to reduce the cost and enhance the quality of radar-based information for scientific research, commercial remote sensing, and emergency management applications. LightSAR will be able to provide all-weather, day-night measurements of most locations on Earth about once each day.
